Our soul is our mind and it's where we have our thought process, reasoning process and our will. It's what gives us our feelings. God gave us this to be what helps guide us in this course of life a long with our heart and live a fruitful and truthful life knowing what we are supposed to know. Satan has access to our feelings and attacks us there to get our soul (mind) believing his lies and move away from God. God created us and in us He created truth, understanding and knowledge. Our hearts hold the truth and our soul (mind) holds understanding and knowledge. If we allow Satan control of our feelings and thoughts he will take control of us and therefore we will be in bondage (stronghold) to him. He only has power over us when we give it to him. We must learn and understand the word of God through His Holy Spirit who is the only one who can teach us and reveal to us how to overcome Satan and his attacks against us and the Body of Christ Jesus our Lord. Jesus over came Satan by the word of God which was in His heart (truth). we must get God's word deep in our heart so that when these attacks come we can over come them and live an abundant life free of bondage. Jesus knew that when Adam and Eve disobeyed God that they were deceived by Satan through their thoughts and feelings. That is where he attacks us to deceive us. Below is some scripture that shows us what we must do to be an overcomer (conquerer). I pray that you receive revelation of this truth and utilize it and The Holy Spirit who lives in you to teach you.

Love the LORD your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your strength.

Keep this Book of the Law always on your lips; meditate on it day and night, so that you may be careful to do everything written in it. Then you will be prosperous and successful.
