God's daily change in my life.
Yesterday I left off with God changing us daily and bringing us together as one, stripping away things from each of us and teaching us how to love one another unconditionally. After we were married I rested from the ministry for a short time to bless and help others with things they needed done.
I was raised on a farm in the Panhandle of Texas where I learned many skills and went to school to learn. I use these skills to help others in their need and God blesses us for it. My wife started working at a Extended stay hotel as a security officer which she really enjoyed. We both had many opportunities to witness and love on people. We were there for almost 2 years and enjoyed every moment of it. There was still some stripping away from each of us but we endured and just loved each other and allowed God to bring us together as one. The process of bringing together as one never ends until God comes to get us. It's a process where you chose to unconditionally love and allow the process to have its way. It sounds hard and it is at times but it is well worth it and the rewards are great.
We moved from there to an Apartment community where we were involved in a ministry to care for the residents and coordinated activities and such. It was fun and we did a lot there with activities such as gatherings, birthday parties, pool parties, BBQ's and even live entertainment for the residents. We had done this for about a year and then God moved us from there and sent me to help with the victims and residents of hurricane Ike in South coast of Texas. I was there working for a Construction Company helping restore peoples homes and lives after the mass destruction there. There were so many ministering opportunities and God was daily using me to reach out to these people and bring them good news from God and love them unconditionally. So as you can see our life was daily being changed and so our hearts also. We were learning to live and trust God for all our needs and the needs of others. Everyday He would show up and fulfill what was needed that day in every way.
We spent the following three and a half years doing this. My wife would be at home taking care of things there such as our children and grandchildren and ministering to the needs of people there. We both were being stripped and renewed by God and being used by God to love and help others for His Kingdom and thinking of others instead of ourselves. We had to totally rely on God for all our needs and He provided for every need and more. Learning how to live totally relying on God and not man was a challenge but God did change us and how we thought things should happen. God always show's Himself as who He is and that nothing is impossible for Him.
We were then sent to Kansas to take care of my Dad and his wife, so we spent our time there helping them and loving on them, rehabbing a hundred plus year old house from the ground up so they could downsize for my dad has a weak heart. We got involved with a gathering there that they went to and have been there ever since. God brought us here not to just help my dad and his wife but also to help the people and community here. Everyday we see God make changes in us and the communities we are involved in helping others and loving them unconditionally and being a part of a great plan of God and His movement.
Today as I write this post I am thinking of how God has and can bring change in everything and us as we live our day to day lives and increase His Kingdom by touching the lives of others. What we go through we can use to help others see and hopefully grasp hold of and come to totally trust, love unconditionally God and others and help. There is no greater joy than to be able to love on and help others in this life.
Tomorrow I will bring a short take on what God has given me out of this experience and hope it will speak to you and help you with what you are going through.
God bless and have a great and joyous day.
