God speaks to us before and as He does something!

   God has always spoken to us before and as He does things.

  Have you ever heard God say something to you either directly or indirectly through someone or something else? There has been many times in my life where I was spoken to by someone or God Himself telling what He was going to do or is doing right then. He does this now as He did thousands of years ago then. He wants us to know who He is and what He is doing. He has had plans from the beginning to bless us and not harm us. Jeremiah 29:11 gives us this promise if we would just obey and stay within His commands. 

Jeremiah was a Prophet of old thousands of years ago whom God chose to speak for Him. The people were thick headed and hard to reason with, just as we are today. Jeremiah did not flatter the people as our modern day Prophets do now. He spoke warnings to them and God's plan of escape from punishment but the people would not listen because they wanted to hear lies about how good things were and live in their own lusts. And so they received their just reward by God allowing their enemy to defeat them and carry them off as slaves. Destroying their City and Temple. Living under the rule of their captives for 80 years. God spoke to those people before they were defeated and captured and He spoke to them that very same day it happened using Jeremiah.

God also used Jonah to speak to the people of Nineveh however Jonah was the one who refused to do as God asked him to do and tried to escape God in doing so and was caught and swallowed up by a giant fish for 3 days and nights and spit out on dry land near Nineveh. Jonah knew in his heart the people would listen to God's word and repent but he wanted them dead because they were his enemy. Jonah had no choice but to go speak to the people of Nineveh and watch them repent. God is a just and His plans will not be voided. Whether we like them or not, we must listen or pay the consequences for it.

Another God used to speak to Mary the mother of Jesus Christ was Gabriel His Angel. Gabriel spoke to Mary about her being the mother of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ and she received the news with a glad heart. The people of her town did not receive God's news about her being the Christ's mother and wanted to kill her. Joseph her fiance thought she had slept with another and decided to divorce her quietly but an Angel of God came to Joseph in his sleep and told him the news that God is the Father of the child. So Joseph believed and took her as his wife and raise Jesus Christ as his own. 

God has many plans for us and we need to be receptive to them. We need to listen as God speaks to us whether through Himself or someone else. We will know if it is God speaking or not because  His word (scripture) will confirm it or deny it. We will know if it is from Satan if it is not confirmed by God's word (scripture). Do not be afraid and do not forsake God's news of what He is doing for it is for our benefit that He does these things. 

Listen to God's news daily and know that He has good plans for you and will bless you. I you have not received The Lord Jesus Christ as your Saviour then do so now and know He will bless and protect you and save you to be with Him eternally. 

The moral of this post is to show you that God still speaks today as He did back thousands of years ago and He will speak to you. He is the same yesterday, today and forever.
