To be a Disciple or Follower

                                               What it means to be a Disciple or Follower?

   The word disciple means: To follow someone who has your attention and you dedicate your life to and follow. There are many people through the years who have taught others their way of life and sent them out as disciples to bring in more people to be taught their ways and then, in turn, they become disciples and go out and gather more people to enlarge their gathering, Kindom, Empire and such. 

Because this blog site is about God and His way we will talk about what it means to be a Disciple of Jesus (Yeshuah).

Jesus ( Yeshuah) had His Disciples whom He taught His way and the will of God so that redemption could happen and those who were lost or bound by sin could be free and return to a personal relationship with the Father (God). Jesus (Yeshuah) gave His life up to pay the price for the penalty of sin which is death to the mortal body and soul. 

To restore the 1st commandment given to us by God. "To Love".  To do everything in love so as to fulfill this command which Jesus(Yeshuah) did and is calling us to do!

To be a Disciple of Jesus (Yeshuah) means to give up your life and wants to follow Him and serve others. It means picking up your cross and be will to die for His namesake and to save others. You live as a servant to help, teach and encourage others so that they may have life in Jesus (Yeshuah) and have it more abundantly. 

To go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, immersing them in the name of the Fathe, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit. Teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. 'Source'- Matthew 28:19-20

Jesus (Yeshuah) has given the Disciple the rights to use His power and authority which is His to make disciples and heal the sick, lame, blind and such. Then deliver those demonically possessed and oppressed. To bring the dead back to life. To cause miracle all for the building of His cause and Kingdom. 

Disciples operate in every gift of the spirit and leading of the Holy Spirit. They do not just do what they want or feel. They are led and guided by God Himself through the Holy Spirit who brings to them what God is doing and saying and cause the Disciples to follow. They learn to be content in everything. Whether in lack or abundance or persecution, or death or whatever may come their way for the Glory of God The Father.

The Disciples had a choice in the beginning but when they took the oath to become Jesus's(Yeshuah's) Disciple. They gave up all rights and wants in their life to fulfill God's will. To go through persecution, trials, beatings, ridicule, etc.  To have your life and character change daily to become more like Jesus (Yeshuah). 

That is the cost of becoming a Disciple of Jesus (Yeshuah). Even to the point of physical death. But the soul and spirit live on in and with Jesus(Yeshuah) forever.  

If you want redemption and eternal life with or become a Disciple of Jesus(Yeshua). Then way the cost and lose your life for His and others. 

The physical life is temporal, but the spirit and soul will live on forever. That is the reward of the choice of choosing Jesus(Yeshuah).
